Shorten:

The Shorten feature of Bettertext allows you to quickly and easily reduce the length of a piece of text while retaining its essential meaning. This can be useful when you need to summarize a longer piece of text, or when you're trying to fit a message into a limited space.

Highlight the text you want to shorten.

Click on the "Shorten" function in the Bettertext ruler set.

Bettertext will generate a shortened version of the text. You can click on the results to preview the generated text.

Once you're satisfied with the shortened text, click on it to paste it into your document or message.

Expand:

The Expand feature of Bettertext allows you to quickly and easily add more detail and information to a piece of text. This can be useful when you need to explain a concept in more detail, or when you want to add additional information to a message.

Highlight the text you want to expand.
